Dear guys,
I am running a STEADY STATE problem of conjugate heat transfer with heat source in solid region. It is a problem of 11 lack cells.after 3000 iterations, mass residual is fluctuating about 4.3e-3(very less fluctuation) all velocity residuals of the order of 3.0e-6. Enthalpy residual for solid fluctuating about 2.6e2. all settings by default(SIMPLE ALGO)all underrelaxation parameters by default. How to further reduce the residuals. any suggestions urgently needed... thanksin advance |

try to use an under-relaxation factor of 0.999 for solids. U set this parameter in the thermal option panel. if it doesn't work U have to perform a transient analisys.
