can u tell what wil happen to the swirl ratio at the time of compression?? wil it reduce?? in analysis i m getting a high value of swirl but less at the time of injection.. how can i justify that??
thank u all.. |

but the reduction of swirl ration depend on the geometry of the combustion chamber, am I right? If you have a bowl on the piston the swirl ration increases during compression due to momentum conservation...

yes, is it. In piston with bowl it increase during compression while in flat piston not because of the dissipation of energy...in pistons with bowl it's also present but it's the conservation of momentum that predominate (sorry for the language...didn't remember how to say the last word!)
