cyclic boundaries

hi i've been trying to set the CYCLIC BOUNDARIES for the 30*-piece of a burner but the only thing i've been receiving is the message that CYCLIC BOUNDARIES ARE NOT MATCHED; i'd be grateful for any hints thx in advance

Re: cyclic boundaries

Hi check if the sector you have considered is correct. Also check if the cyclic boundaries are planar.

hi, thx a lot; could u give me a hint where to check if they are planar?? i can't find such option; i'm following the algorithm from tutorial 9.1; problem appears whenever i'm trying to choose plane at -Y; output indicates than around 10000 cells more than at +Y although the walls are absolutely identic and each of them is composed of 20664 cells;

Try to play with matching tolerance (0.01 sometimes helps). Also check that you list the regions in the proper order, i.e. try to set distance to -30 degrees instead of 30.

hi may be you can try to delete all the cyclic boundaries and redefine them again? I think you might have mistakenly defined the cyclic boundaries a few times without noticing it.

thx a lot everybody; the problem was in the lack of minus in front of the number for DY in cyclic set match (i'm working on the version 3.15A)
