Hi all Is the multi phase flow of fuel and air in the induction system(inlcluding carburetor)of IC engine can be analysed in STAR CD?

Carburation involves of the flow/atomization of fuel in the main and idle jet on the venturi based on the pressure difference. Can this be simulated along with the air flow in STAR CD ?

You can model the atomisation using VOF and LES but you will need a very large cell count to accurately model the breakup so it only really feasible on a local scale. If you wish to model the whole system you are better off looking at using lagrangian two phase.
