how to modelling an EGR system
I want to calculate combustion of CNG engine with various EGR conditions.I want to collect some information about it. Please share your knowledge
Appreciate it |
Re: how to modelling an EGR system
How can we thermodynamically model teh effect of the EGR system on the engine performance?

Re: how to modelling an EGR system
For what kind of engine? And what combustion model do you use? I've used Magnussen and ECFM3Z too, just initialize the scalar of species in your chamber to simulate the EGR...(int + ext)

Re: how to modelling an EGR system
I'm a student of Automobile Engg. I have to construct a project on EGR system. So please give me instructions on this project.

Re: you are modelling an EGR system,
Sir. I'm modeling an EGR system. Plz send me the basic detail for installing the equipment and the system.

Re: you are modelling an EGR system,
Hi. I'm modeling an EGR system for a diesel engine. Plz send me the basic details about how to model EGR thermodynamicly.

Re: you are modelling an EGR system,
just set as many scalars as your substances in the cylinder at the beginning of your simulation to model Egr...
You need to know the equivalence ratio of the recirculated gas and so you know what's the O2 concentration in that gas...and you can make hyp. about the composition of the remaining portion of the same gas (CO2, H20 basically)...try to refer at the molar concentration of the chemical reaction! Then knowing the EGR ratio (%) you can calculate the concentration of every substances that your engine is breathing... |
Re: you are modelling an EGR system,
Hello:
IF I want to set the concentration of every substances in inlet pipe, which is different from the one in cylinder ,how to keeping the calculation is all right????? |
