Re: Which Linux for es-ice?
I have had no problems with Open Suse 10.2 so far. From the perspective of a complete beginner Suse has been easy to use and setup. Having become a bit of a 'power user' now I would probably recommend Fedora - but it is geared towards people more familiar with working with linux.

I'd suggest asking your local distributor what he/she uses as their knowledge base will be useful when you run into potential problems.
