Axisymmetric problems

Hi all

I'm just kind of revamping a problem that has already been discussed before (Feb 2007). I created a 2D axisymmetric model. I'm using the command VCEXTRUDE for I'd need to have (for user programming reasons of my own), hex axis cells and not prisms (for having the possibility to renumber the vertices with a fully indexed structured numbering). After running the simulation (which converged properly without any strange occurrency), I've discovered that the degenerate faces of the prism-resembling hex cells are treated as walls. Nevertheless, the velocity field did not suffer at all from the no-slip condition there imposed by default. That obviously made me glad, but I'd like to understand this discrepancy... I mean, if there's a no-slip condition, it must be no-slip...

Thanks in advance for answers!
