cavitation with changing temperature

Hello everybody, I am calculating cavitation in LPG(butane-l) pump operation with star-cd 3.26. and the problem is like this: I used pressure boundaries for inlet and outlet. Cavitation is occuring with changing pressure. But it is not occurring with changing temperature. Did i miss something, any advice? thank you for your answers an advance.

Re: cavitation with changing temperature

Cavitation is not a function of temperature, only pressure

Re: cavitation with changing temperature

In general a substances vaporization pressure is a function of temperature. Therefore you could have cavitation at one temperature and not another even if the pressures are the same.
