Merge two complex geometries in Pro-AM
Can anyone give me some feedbacks for merging two separate geometries in Pro-AM - one is soild and the other one is fluid.
According to the user-guide an internal baffle should be defined. The baffle shold only be on one part or bath? I am getting error messages after surface check! |
Re: Merge two complex geometries in Pro-AM
I assume you are wanting to merge two surface shell files?
At the interface do these surfaces have coincident shells and nodes (ie conformal meshes on the interface)? If you already have volume cells, you could simply couple the two meshes on the interface. You could do this with your two surfaces two - volume mesh each separately, into different proam database records, then combine and couple. |
Re: Merge two complex geometries in Pro-AM
I'm not very sure about your problem, but if the baffle is necessary ,Only one baffle is needed. According to your discribtion,I think baffle is needless, you can build the mesh of solid and fluid at the same time, and redefine the type of each.Make sure your cell is on the side of your boundary.

Re: Merge two complex geometries in Pro-AM
I know that I can build the fluid and solid at the same time - but the problem is that my geometry is so complex and I cannot redefine the cell types after meshing one by one, it will take ages! So, I was wondering if I could find a way to build the mesh by keeping the cell types as they are (i.e. solid and fluid)!
