Cannot write in text boxes
 

Hello everybody,

I am a very new user of Star-CD and I already have a problem. Working through the first tutorial, I noticed that I cannot name the Boundaries.

I didn't mind, because a name hopefully is not that important. But now I have to insert the velocity U of the inlet-region. and again I am not able to write any numbers or letters in the text box. The only thing I can do is marking the default value.

Does anybody have a solution?

Try to check your keyboard connection :):)

I couldn't figure out the actual error, but it hasn't occured again by now, when I first write the name and then select the type of the boundary...

It can be some error in X-server. Or may be you were trying to right with non-US keyboard layout
