Hi all,

when I want to start Prostar, i'll see the following message:

Unable to list features for license file /cadappl/starcd/4.02.042/license/license.dat.

This is true, because my license file is located somewhere else.

The license is working correct btw.

Where can I find the setting to adjust the location of the license file when starting Prostar or starcd?

I'm asking this because my FlexNet manager cannot list the users using the features of starcd. I think this message is related to it.

if you're using linux, then in a bash shell:

export LM_LICENSE_FILE=/path to license/license.dat

Thanks. I already did this.

I now created a symbolic link to the current license file.

The message is away if I start Prostar, but the same problem exists in FlexNet manager.

I thought this was maybe related to this issue.

remove the .flexlm file in your home directory.

How come you have been delivered the product without the license working properly. Didn't the sales representative give you the installation notes when he gave the software?

if you are using linux

tyr this

there will hardware.ini file in /etc in the installation directory

open that

change the licence file path
