Warning 020
 

Hello, I got the following error message (although the simulation works fine).

*** WARNING #020 *** CELL CENTRE OUTSIDE OF THE CELL FOR CELL NO. 41642

How does this affect my solution or the speed of the run? And how can I fix it?

That is a concave cell. It's center of mass does not lie within the cell itself. I wouldn't worry too much about it unless you have several of them.

You should worry about them, it means the fluxes at this location will be applied somewhere else than this location, and most likely mess up your solution. Imagine a volume so distorted the center is outside the cell.

It is usually called "Elephantman mesh"

Check the centroid and concave element. If centroid, then it will affect the solution.

Well, it's pretty strange. I got this error message with plenty of cells (let's say hundreds), but they all look fine. No immoderate distortion or streching.

Cannot find the source of it..
