Hi!
I need to implement 120 different porosities in my CFD-model. But the maximum porosity model number that is allowed by StarCD is 99. Is there a possibility to increase this number? Thanks in advance Snert |

I do not know if this is a limit imposed by Prostar or by Star itself. If this is only imposed by Prostar you may be able to figure out how the porosities are implemented in the .prob file and add them by hand, but no guarantee at all that would work.

The tool for porous media is STAR-CCM+, not STAR-CD. For example the catalytic exhaust simulation are now done in STAR-CCM+ using design field functions. It competes with Fluent and labspace: http://www.fluent.com/solutions/auto..._converter.pdf http://labspace.open.ac.uk/mod/resou....php?id=207208
In STAR-CCM+ you can also do VOF in porous media, which is not supported by STAR-CD. You need to change tool. |
