I am creating a sphere in STAR-CD. I get crack erroe which means unconnected regions . CAn anyone tell me how to remove it

this might help:
put your geometry in CSET. If you are sure that your crack geometry on a certain Cell type then do this (XXX represent Cell type number) CSET NEWS TYPE XXX (otherwise just do CSET ALL) then klick Tool-->Check tool check the aspect ratio and put any number less than 1 and Do NOT put the failed Cells in CSET. This will give you the number of the smallest cell lenght...e.g. 0.5 mm then do VSET NEWS CSET open the Vertex tool and do a vertex merge with tolerance value less than 0.5 (e.g 0.49). so you are sure that none of your smallest cells will also be merge. Be sure that you merge the cells that are only in VSET. (Otherwise ALL if you are sure) this you should be able to get rid of any crack. cheers, Reza |

I have the connectivity error for the same. It shows two different group of cells. Group 1 and Group 2 and I can not couple them as they are not master and salve cell faces. Can you please focus on that.
