Default workplanes in star-design

I am a novce star-design user and I need some help. My main point is that when I define a new workplane, e.g. on a face of something, if I want to change the position of the object I have drawn on this workplane I need to input coordinates relative to workplane 1. This is begining to be a pain in the neck as I like to move stuff relative to the local workplane. Am I missing something? Thanks for any help
