Dummy scalar

Hi, if I dont have the physical properties of a scalar and I want to use it as intermediate scalar in the reaction flow, is it possible to make it as a dummy scalar? I mean to empty the properties database, will it affect any calculation? cause when I check like the momentum or the reaction rate is not affected by the physical properties of the scalar, I mean without any physical properties at all. This dummy scalar will be a result of evaporation and then react with water to become other scalar. I cannot found the physical properties of the scalar anywhere.

Thanks

Re: Dummy scalar

Define a scalar with "passive" influence setting. This shouldn't affect the fluid properties (e.g. density, pressure, etc.) during the calculation. You can essentially use the "dummy" scalar as a memory.
