plot y+ vs x

Hello,

Does someone can help me about how to plot a graph, for example how to plot y+ versus x-coordiates?

Thanks in advance

Re: plot y+ vs x

These are instructions for star-ccm. I understand that the interfaces between CD and CCM are quite different, so it may not work the same in CD.

First define a line from which you want Y+ values. Right click derived parts, select new, probe, line. You get a "line-probe" in derived parts. Go into "parts" for the line-probe and find the plane on which you want the line to exist, then define the two endpoints of the line.

To create the plot, right click Plots, then select new plot, X-Y plot. Click your newly appeared xy plot and set the part to the line-probe. Go into y-types, y-type 1, scalar and select wall y+ as your scalar. Double click the plot to display it. To change the number of points displayed go all the way back to the line-probe in derived parts and turn the resolution up (more datapoints) or down (fewer datapoints).

Hope this helped.
