I am analyzing the cavitation flow in the vane pump using star-cd V3.26. For the boundery I used:

1st case. Inlet for inlet & Pressure for outlet

2nd case. Pressure for inlet & Pressure for outlet

result is more accurate in the 1st case than 2nd case. But confusing thing is that when I specified 2bar for saturation pressure(abs) in cavitation panel using Rayleigh model in the 1st case, the pressure I got from result is 1bar in the suction region and interesting thing is that why fluid is not cavitatiing. Any idea why is that? I tried changing reference cell position, but still same.

I have following experimental results:

1.Pressure in inlet and outlet. 2.Flow rate 3.Velosity which I calculated using flow rate.

what boundery should I use? any suggestion is welcome!
