Hello I am modeling a smooth straight channel in Star CCM+. I want to find out the average Nusslt Number on different walls of the channel like side ad bottom walls. Also How can I find the total average Nusslt Number of the channel flow? Reply will be appriciated. Regards Waseem

1. Create area averaged report(s) of heat transfer coef field function on the surface(s)

2. Create new field function(s) called Nusselt # and define is as per its formula using the field function(s) created by the above report(s), fluid conductivity and char. length

3. Create new 'max' report with N# as the field function and run this report.

Ping This was very helpful: In CCM+ there is a field fucntion of Nusttle number. Averaging it directly would give the same result, I assume. Waseem
