Default Incompressible density of mixtures

Hi everyone,

does anyone know the theoretical background of the Incompressible density of mixtures in the star cd option? As I know that the mixture usually evaluate with volume fraction or mol fraction (dalton laws), why star cd use mass fraction? any assumption that I dont know
