radiation patches, viewfactors

Hi, anyone familiar with thermal radiation in Star-CCM? Is it normal for the viewfactors, radiation patches calculation to take as long as 22 hours (see below) prior to the 1st iteration of the computation?? I'm letting Star-CCM to create the patches automatically by simply running the solution. Is there something wrong here or any method to make it faster?

Yes change the number of patches from 100% to 50 or 20%
