Oscillatory flow in a pipe

Hi,

I would like to simulate an oscillatory flow crossing a pipe.
I wonder if I have to use periodic boudaries condition (inlet/outlet) or not?
Also can I use a user fonction to define my flow inlet (like: sin(cst*$Time) )?

Thanks in advance.

You can use a user defined function BCDEFI to define your inlet, or you can use a table with TIME as independent variable.

As for the outlet, probably you wouldn't need something special, just try with default flow split 1. Or you can try Transient boundary condition, which allow pressure waves escape from the domain, because you'll have some pressure waves.
