Cannot access forum from Italy
 

Hi!
I cannot access the forum from my pc from Italy. I can provide ip adresses if needed.
I can only access the forum through proxies (Europe/US).
Maybe some ips ranges are blocked due to spammers?

What kind of error message do you get when trying to access http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums ? We have certainly not blocked Italy.

You can check if your IP number is listed in Project Honeypot (a spam database we use). First find your IP number on http://www.whatismyip.com and then test it on http://www.projecthoneypot.org/search_ip.php

really strange...I have a timeout error; my ip (dynamic) is not listed on honeypot..I keep connecting to the forum with a US proxy.

PS: mobile connection (android app) works as expected.

PS2: I cannot ping also :(

Is it only the forum that you have problems to reach or are you unable to connect to all sections of http://www.cfd-online.com ?

If ping fails you can try to run traceroute to see where the problem occurs (tracert cfd-online.com on Windows or traceroute cfd-online.com on linux).

Maybe the problem is with my isp?
192.168.100.1 is the provincial "masked" ip of my isp.
It's strange because I have no problem to access other websites.

That looks like a problem with your ISP. Your DNS server is able to lookup the correct IP number for cfd-online.com but tracerouting to it does not even go outside your local IP number range (192.168...).

Can you reach our ISP on http://www.servmatixcloud.com ?

We have not got any reports recently from other users having similar problems. Some time ago we had a DNS related problem that could cause this kind of issues, but I think that has been solved now.

If anyone else is having problems to reach http://www.cfd-online.com please reply here!

Maybe bad weather conditions had damage something..I will see in the next days and report here if the problem will be solved.

No luck also today with cfd-online

Very strange, I do not have any explanation why cfd-online.com is unreachable for you. Can you try to ping and traceroute our production server IP on 67.158.63.30 ? This is a dedicated server, which runs a virtual server with cfd-online.com on.

Same problem here, I can access the forum through the Android app, but not from the pc (tested two)

Today all is ok!
I suspect there were some problems due to weather conditions.
Davide: are you connecting with telecom adsl?
If so, it could be tha same problem; if you look at this map

you can see there are some problems, expecially in the Milan node.
