This has been happening at least with Firefox on Ubuntu and it has not been happening to just me, since I'm seeing this happen in other posts, as well as PMs sent to me.

Take for example the line space I've added above, to separate my two paragraphs. I only left a single empty line, but after posting, it was rendered as 2 empty lines. Same happens if in advanced mode, I switch the Editor Mode with the button on the top right of the editor box.

If I use Shift+Enter, then it is rendered only as a single empty line, as shown in the empty line just above this paragraph.

I have yet to test this with other browsers, so I don't know if it was due to a recent change in the forum software or on Firefox.

This is caused by a change in recent Firefox versions (see http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewto...?f=9&t=3040337 for more discussions).

Both Chrome and Internet Explorer work correctly for me.

You can get Firefox to work correctly also by going to "about:config" in Firefox and toggle "editor.use_div_for_default_newlines" to be "False".

I will wait with looking at possible changes in the forum software setup since this only seems to affect Firefox and I hope that Firefox will fix this soon. It is a Firefox bug that affects the forum behaviour.

Bug has been reported to bugzilla and confirmed by them on this forum, so now it is reported correctly to the people behind Firefox. You can follow the bug report here:
