I would also suggest Cradle CFD - a Japanese CFD code with large customer base and producing realistic results

A forum where users can share the results of CFD codes they've written themselves.
Majority of engineers only use CFD tools. Most don't write their own tool.

I'm literally the only person in my department who was interested in writing CFD codes. Others didn't even want to write Python code. It would have been helpful if there were more like minded people who also liked CFD.

It would be really amazing having a forum where users can come and share the results of their CFD codes (pic/youtube link/github link) along with explaining some of the troubles they faced along the way. If they want to share the code, they can include a github link.

New forums on CFD Online

We are happy to open new forums. However, a new forum needs a steady stream of returning users to keep the discussions active. A forum needs about 5,000 returning users to stay active. With too few visitors a forum will quickly self-die. It is better to keep these discussions on the main forum than hide them in a dead forum. If we see a topic frequently discussed on the main forum that is a good sign that this topic could benefit from a dedicated forum.

Discussions about codes that do not have a dedicated forum are very welcome on the main forum. If we see a lot of discussions about a certain code we will open a dedicated forum for that code.

Discussions about code development and developing your own CFD codes are more than welcome on the main forum. 15 years ago, when CFD was a less mature area and there were many PhD students writing their own CFD codes, the main forum was filled with discussions about this.

Agree. Cradle is a very competitive, user-friendly and comprehensive CFD software. Why isn't there a sub-forum thread yet? It should be created immediately.

CFD of Rocket combustion chambers

At TU Munich und ETH Zürich we are establishin this course.
With fluent we are simulating rocket engine combustion chambers.
Our discussion we would like to have on this website in a subforum in order to support it. Also it is handy for us to have a common plattform, where people from any university can participate in.
