In the last half year we have been struggling with a very aggressive bot-farm that overloads our servers. The bots use hundreds of thousands of different IP numbers from all over the world, most likely hacked computers, so it is difficult to block them.

To prevent our server from being overloaded we have been forced to have very aggressive filters to block access to server-heavy pages like search pages etc. If you get a 410 Gone error on a page it might be the filter that for some reason blocks you. Please send an email to webmaster@cfd-online.com if you have problems.

Normal users should hopefully not be blocked, but we have recently discovered that we had a too strict rule on the registration page which prevented some users from activating their forum account. This rule has now been removed. So if you have had problems to activate your forum account please try again now.

I apologize about the problems. We are fighting a hard battle behind the scenes to keep CFD Online free from spam and bots.
