Hi
I want to measure the concentration of species in a pipe flow
How can I make the setting in Star-ccm?
Thanks

Activate the passive scalar model, set your boundary conditions, run it, create some reports / probes / scenes / sections / streamlines / whatTheF...Ever. Should be pretty straightforward.

hi abdul099
I have enabled the passiva scalar model
How can I set the varial of interest into concentration of species?
I have no idea exactly how to set it
For the concentration of species, should line, point or area be created? which one is correct for vomule concentration?
Thanks

hi absule
what kind of boundary conditions I need to set?
thanks

Pretty hard to answer without any background information about your case. First, what do you want to simulate? Second, what is the main effect you want to evaluate?

I'm modeling a gas detection unit which chemical reaction takes places in gas sensor
Chemical reaction is not considered in the simulation
The interest point is focused on improving response stability and achieving faster response
So the concentration of fluid close to gas sensor is important to know
Hopefully my statement is clear
Thanks

Hi all,
I am simulating two liquids, one liquid has water and NaCl dissolved, and the second liquid has water and ethanol is dissolved. both liquids have density difference 100 kg/m3. both liquids are mixing in cold leg. my question is, how can I calculate the concentration of both liquids in starccm+? The figure attached for more detail ( red heavy fluid, blue light fluid). Thanks
