Hi!
I want to know 'Is it possible to calculate ship wave making resistance and viscous resistance separately using STAR-CCM+?' Waiting for a king response Thanks in advance |

What you can calculate individually is the resistance due to pressure and resistance due to pressure individually. If the resistance that you need (wave making) can be represented mathematically by pressure and shear stress then yes you can extract it.
But unfortunately (as far as I know and please correct me if I am wrong ) there is no such representation of wave making resistance. Since integrating the pressure = pressure drag is not the same as Wave making resistance right? |

Dear Sir;
Thank you so much for your useful advice. Sir as far as i know, i agree with you that integrating the pressure = pressure drag is not the same as Wave making resistance. Thank you once again for your help. |
