Hello All

Does anyone here has an experience working in Lagrangian Multiphase model in STAR CCM+ 7.04.011??

If yes please can you reply to the post ASAP.

Thank you for your time and help in Advance.

Hey Saira817

Thanks for getting back.

I'm actually trying to model lagrangian multiphase model with mesh morphing.
Im working on bridge pier scouring ,two-phase sediment transport, using lagragian model along with mesh morphing. Here,im trying to entrain the sand particle from the bed using erosion rate field function as well as move the bed using some grid velocity.
But while running this i get this error in the attached file.

Regards

Do you mean that you have used erosion model to cause erosion of sediment? what is the particle phase in the water?

Yes exactly, erosion model in Lagrangian phase which is solid particle with 0.00025 m of diameter and 2650 density.

Actually, I do not know what is wrong in this case. But, in erosion, erosion happens on a surface by some particles. What is surface material and what is particle material?

Well ,my bed surface is a sand sediment, and particles are sand.
I defined the bed surface as wall, in order to calculate the wall shear stress.

Hi niuprats,

I have a doubt that erosion is actually a long time process, so if you want to model
changing the geometry using morphing, how will you decide your physical time and time step.

Can we set lagrangian phase to be initially present in cfd domain?
