Default surface roughness for solid

I need to define a surface roughness for a boundary that is a solid, but I don't see an option for this in regions? It seems the option for rough/smooth wall is only available for fluid boundaries, or am I not looking in the right place?

Could you please, what is the reason that you need to define the roughness for a solid region?
