Ankush K is on a distinguished road
I am using starccm+ to perform CFD study on ship manoeuvring.
I am trying to simulate planar motion mechanism test on a hull to obtain hydrodynamic forces acting on it. I am giving sway motion(lateral oscillation) to the hull using morpher. Everytime I run the simulation, it runs and after certain time, it gives "floating point error" and at the same time residuals cross 1000. Kindly suggest the possible cause of error and how it can be corrected.
For reference, the morpher conditions applied are:
Inlet and Outlet - In-plane
Wall, Top and Bottom - Fixed
Hull - Grid velocity.
