Hi,

I am trying to run Star-CCM+ v8.06.005-R8 on kubuntu. While I had no problem installing the software, I get an error when executing the code.

Code:
Starting local server: starccm+ -server
/opt/CD-adapco/STAR-CCM+8.06.005-R8/star/bin/starccm+: 169: /opt/CD-adapco/STAR-CCM+8.06.005-R8/star/bin/starenv: Syntax error: redirection unexpected
I defined the port@host in a ~/.flexlmrc file. That's the same port@host I'm using in the Windows version, and I have no problems there.

Any clue as to what may be causing that Syntax error?

Problem solved.

Just had to change the interpreters in the starccm+ and starenv scripts from #!/bin/sh to #!/bin/bash.

The rest of the problems I had to deal with were tackled by installing 64-bit specific libraries.
