Hi there,
Hope one of you guys can help me... I'm trying to find the centres of a vortex a plane. I have planes set up parallel to the rear face of the Ahmed body i am modelling (so my x value is known, but also need the 'y' and 'z' values). Using the vortex core tool, I only get lines, not the point projected to the plane - is there away to do this? Thanks, RupeB |

Assuming your plane has a non-void intersection with your vortex core: create a plane section using as---slice through---part the vortex core. The intersection will give you a point, and max reports for Position X,Y,Z and for that "plane section" will give you the coordinates of the intersection.
