Hi I have a fuel tank geometry. I filled the volume in Catia and imported it in Star-ccm.
In surface repair before meshing it's showing around 2000 Pierced faces, 400 free edge, other values are also unexpectedly high. Do I have to clean up it one by one or I am doing something wrong with the volume filling in catia?

Need more Input. Do you have one part, or an assembly? Sheet or solid? Did you try to imprint?

Sounds like you need to remesh the surface and include automatic surface repair. That should solve these issues (which are common to tesselated CAD imports). Under geometry > operations right click and select new > automated mesh. A dialog window will appear, assign your part(s) and select surface remesher followed by automatic surface repair.

You can set the auto mesh operation to be parallel if you want (click automated mesh, in properties window change mesher execution mode to parallel.)

Then simply assign base size, target surface and minimum surface sizes, curvature, etc, to make sure that your remeshed surface resolves your geometry properly.
