Hi
I want to simulate Refrigerant (R 134a) flow in adiabatic capillary tubes.
from Inlet liquid state to outlet mixture state.
1) Which model I should use? (fluid film with evap/cond or vof (evap/cond).
2) How can i define the properties(density, viscosity, conductivity, Cp) of liq and vapor phase with respect to pressure and enthalpy in CCM.

1. The difference between these models is where the phase change is occurring. Where do you expect the change to happen? You should be able to answer this by yourself then.

2. You can specify any property different than constant by going under the material properties. There are plenty of options for specifying polynomials, tables, etc.

Hi,

I need to model r32 flow through adiabatic capillary tubes in Fluent.
My models are:
k-e Turbulence
Mixture multiphase
BC: Pressure Inlet and pressure outlet

Can anyone give some modeling suggestions? It is a compressible flow and I have given variable density (polyunomial) in material properties. Is this correct? I am just not able to get any converged simulation!!!

With Regards
Vignesh
