Dear All,
I used VOF model for simulating two-phase flow and I want to calculate the velocity of each phase at specific points across the pipe. I used probe and maximum report and it wasn't work, I tried also with surface average and it wasn't work too. the phases are air-water. Any idea?

Regards

The probe should work. Why didn't it work for you? Explain what you did. Did you get an error?

Hi,
the probe give me zero value.
Frankly I defined the probe and then create a maximum report for (velocity and the probe). lastly, plot and monitor from the report

Did you put the region in the probe?

Oops, I checked and the fluid part was selected instead of fluid region.

I didn't realized that
Thanks for your advice and prompt help,

Best Regards

In VOF we can not find individual velocity of each phase. In STAR-CCM+ , VOF model consider that Homogeneous phase. So that we can not find the individual velocity of each phase. If you use Eulerian-Eulerian multiphase you can get individual phase velocities
