Asking for mesh help

1 Attachment(s)
Since I am a beginner for Star-CCM+, I encountered one meshing problem. I have a heat exchanger structure here, which has some thin fins inside it. It belongs to the fluid-solid heat convection case, so there is the fluid zone inside the heat exchanger.

I just set one mesh type for all the zones. The base size of the mesh is 8mm, and the prism thickness is 30%, 2 layers. Surface size is 25%-100%. When generating the volume mesh, here shows "can't recover edge near position: (-2.17425e-03, -1.83500e-01, -1.88403e-02)" and some other similar messages. I thought it was the mesh problems, but I did not know how to deal with. I tried to set different mesh types on different regions, but there were problems when examining the surface mesh.

I really hope some experts would help me with this. Thank you very much!

Hello,

I am getting the same error. I see you have thin structures. I am sure the problem is with those features but I cannot understand why it is so. Can somebody please help?

Could be a late reply but anyways. It happened in my case as well. Once you get this error go to the surface repair and fix any issues with the domain. Also, if you are not dealing with complex geometries then put min. face quality between 0.15 - 2.0 in Surface Remesher properties. If still the error persists, then disable ''CAD Projection'' under default controls. Because sometimes, CAD errors from 3D CAD Modeller propagate to the Parts node and can affect meshing eventually. Now clear all generates meshes and run the mesher again.
