hi guys,
i am currently in the post processing stage of a simulation of the human lung, and have many scenes with derived parts at various angles to view the flow at those points. now i am comparing these results to those of an experiment conducted on the same geometry, using an mri to show flow velocity in sections that i have replicated as the aforementioned derived parts. i have so far been using the velocity magnitude to show the speed, as this provides accurate representation at some points where the flow is simple and in generally one component, however i was hoping to find an easy way to visualise the flow only in the direction perpendicular to the plain of the derived parts. any imput would be greatly appreciated, many thanks, jack |

maybe you could create a reference System with an axis oriented in the perpendicular direction and then evaluate only the velocity in that direction on that boundary
