Offset strip Fin_validation

Hi, I'm Tae Kyeong Lee from Republic of Korea.
I have a problem w/ validation for offset strip fin. Actually, I read the paper written by Manglik(1995) and Kwan Soo Lee(2010), but I can't get a same tendency. In Reynolds number = 500~600, it seems quite in accordance with papers. But, Lower than Re=500, j factor looks higher than it in paper. and Higher than Re=600, j factor is lower than it in paper. boundary condition is like , velocity inlet, pressure outlet, periodic condition at both sides, top and bottom is wall, constant temperature. I used the same hydraulic diameter w/ papers and Nusselt number is also considered by hydraulic diameter. I use the mean velocity at fin inet and fin outlet to get a reynolds number. F factors are almost in accordance w/ papers. What should I consider about it? Thx to read it. And If you get a solution or advice, I'll be grateful. |

wall constant temperature is 380K. and Inlet temperature is 300K.
In Re=500, outlet air temperature is 379.1261K and Re=400, 379.0879K Re=300, 379.7462K fin's alpah = 05, sigma=0.033, gamma = 0.0833 Dh=0.001557(m) should I set the air wall (at fin top and bottom) in adiabatic? |
