Hi,
I want to study back flow behind a car mirror. I want to use a LES turbulncy and because of that the needed mesh would be around 12-15 million trimmed cells. I use star-ccm+ on a home pc with 16 Gb memory and a corei7 processor. I read somewhere that star-ccm+ uses approximately 1 Gb ram for generating 1 million of trimmed cells. According to this I should be able to generate up to 16 million cells but in reality what I end up with is a domain with about 10 million cells. Does any body have any idea why I can not generate more cells? Thank you guys |
