Hello everybody,
I'm simulating dense multiphase flow with CFD+DEM. I found this on some papers, but none of them tells the software used. I'm trying with the Star-CCM + 9.02.005, but have tried everything to couple the Lagrangian phase (DEM) with the Eulerian phase (Continuum). My case: the gas-solid slug flow occurs in a horizontal pipe, i.e., there is dense and dilute phases simultaneously. I tried something about Passive Scalar Model, but there is limited informations about it. Another approach was inserted vacuum in downstream pipe, but without success. My problem is: how to drag the particles coupling the Lagrangian and Eulerian phases? If anyone can help me, thank you very much. |

Is possible couple Lagrangian with Eulerian phase without special field functions? I need help, so much. Thanks.

I am also having issues with creating a fluid which interacts with DEM particles, can anyone provide me with information, a tutorial or a file which simulates this?
