Hey all!

I have a very complex car geometry and would like to delete some of the unnecessary boundaries in the engine compartment. When I delete these boundaries in the parts tree, my wrap has fairly good surface quality (no free edges) but some face quality issues. But when I assign parts to regions and do region based meshing, my surface mesh has thousands of free edges from the holes left from the deleted boundaries.

Is there any way to get around this? Thanks!

Boundaries are in regions, not in parts. Do you mean you're deleting part surfaces?

This implies you're using a parts-based wrap but a region-based mesh? Why? I would do everything in parts.

If your wrap has no topology issues then the output of the surface remesher shouldn't have any either; are you sure you assigned the output of the wrap to the region and not the original parts?

me3840,

Yes, I mean I am deleting parts.

I do this because of how the simulation assistant I use is setup. I eventually will change but it really doesn't matter.

I think after I wrapped, I didn't re-assign parts to regions. I need to re-assign my parts (wrapper) to regions and then mesh.
