Deleting boundaries without getting "free edges"

Hey all!
I have a very complex car geometry and would like to delete some of the unnecessary boundaries in the engine compartment. When I delete these boundaries in the parts tree, my wrap has fairly good surface quality (no free edges) but some face quality issues. But when I assign parts to regions and do region based meshing, my surface mesh has thousands of free edges from the holes left from the deleted boundaries. Is there any way to get around this? Thanks! |

me3840,
Yes, I mean I am deleting parts. I do this because of how the simulation assistant I use is setup. I eventually will change but it really doesn't matter. I think after I wrapped, I didn't re-assign parts to regions. I need to re-assign my parts (wrapper) to regions and then mesh. |
