Does anyone know how to create the attached mesh in starccm? It is near the trailing edge of an airfoil. Thanks!

this clearly seems directed mesh in one region with tet mesh in another region.. I am wondering why one would go for tet mesh instead of poly mesh !

Dear Gulgulia,
Thank you very much. Could you explain a little bit more on how to do the directed mesh? Should the inner region be divided into several parts imprinted together? Is the first step to set up prism layers around C shape, and then use it as source mesh? I am just a beginner. Also, the directed mesh only workes in 3D, right? This mesh is created in openfoam. I want to do this in starccm. Of course, I will use poly mesh outside. |
