Virtual Disk Model - Propeller Performance Curve

Hi,

I'm trying out the virtual disk model (Body Force method) in Star CCM+ for a simulation. I'm wondering about the performance curve of the propeller that have to be set. Do I have to find the performance curve for every RPM that I want to test, or do I just have to find the performance curve for one specific RPM, and then use this in the virtual disk on every RPM I try out?

Yes, you need this. If you don't know the propeller performance curve already, then the Virtual Disk BF method is not the right tool for the job. What exactly are you trying to do here?

I have the performance curve now, and this is, as far as I can see, the same for every RPM.
Another question; do you know what the settings of the time-step will be with Virtual Disk? The same as for the propeller (in my case 1 deg per time-step)? Or can the time-step be higher when using virtual disk?
