Transition modeling, influence of Turbulence Intensity
 

Hi all,

I am interested in transition with the gamma-Retheta model at high Mach numbers.
The implemented correlations for Re_theta_t (I use Abu Ghannam Shaw) are all involving the turbulence intensity.
The problem is at my boundary conditions when I give either 0.01, 0.02 or more I don't see any difference in the position of transition..
I had a scalar scene of Tu. intensity and realize that the values depicted are way smaller than my 1% given and don't seem to change much when I give 2% or 5%...

Does anyone know what StarCCM takes as a value of ${TurbulenceIntensity} in the Re_theta_t correlation?
