Hello, I am modeling an air compression in liquid piston (D=0.03m and L=2m). The water interface velocity is cte = 0.5 m/s. The compression physical time is 3s.
Using Report (Maximum) in Star-CCM+, I extracted the Temperature at a point A fucntion of time (Figure). But this measurement is not very accurate to my study. I want to extract the average temperature for the control volume of the air, function of the time. (Figure) How can I do this in Star-CCM+ ? (Wich report can do this?) Thanks in advance. |

Thanks Matt for your answer.
The thing is that with mass average or surface average, I have to specified the part in their properties. In my case the only part I can select is the hall geometry (Body 2D); And so I am taking in consideration the control volume of water. I don't want to take into consideration the temperature of water. My question is how can calculate the avg Temp just in the air part that is reducing due to the compression? (I am using VOF method). Thanks in advance |
