CPU utilization

Hello.
I am having trouble making use of all the processors available on my workstation.
The workstation has 2 sockets, 20 cores and 40 logical processors, running on Windows 10 Enterprise.
Now, I run Star CCM by loading the simulation on
Parallel on Local Host, Compute Processes : 40,
but when I check performance as it is running,
only 20 CPUs from node 0 run at max capacity,
while the other 20 CPUs from node 1 are barely used(under 5%).
Should I be using Microsoft Job Scheduler or some setting to make use of CPUs in node 1?

Thank you in advance.

Seyong.

You may not be able to run with more physical processors than you actually have. I'm not sure Star-CCM+ is written to take advantage of virtual processes in that manner.

Additionally, contacting CD-Adapco support may help you get an answer.

Try using a different MPI. I believe there is a limitation for the default MPI for newer Intel silicon with high core counts.
