Star CCM+ and Abaqus CoSim
Hi All,
I am trying to complete the Star CCM+ and Abaqus Mechanical Coupling tutorial I have completed all the steps as outlined in the tutorial guide. I have completed the static section. However when I try to run the dynamic sectio, using abaqus, I get the following error: Loading the SIMULIA Co-Simulation Engine shared libraries failed. In order for STAR-CCM+ to automatically locate the libraries, check the following: - if the executable name is set to an Abaqus command, the command must be in the system path (the path cannot be prepended to the command); - if specifying the full path to the Abaqus executable, the path must point to the Abaqus installation directory; - if standalone co-simulation libraries are to be used in place of the libraries provided with the Abaqus installation, the SIMULIA_CSE_LIBPATH environment variable must be set to the standalone library installation path. Alternatively, the library path may be explicitly specified in Linux with the STAR-CCM+ -ldlibpath launch option or in Windows via the system path. Command: RunSimulation error: Server Error Anyone have any solutions? Many Thanks |
It looks like you haven't told STAR-CCM+ where to find Abaqus correctly. Did you check that the path to the executable or the alias for it works, as the error message suggests?

The issue was the version of Abaqus i was using, switched to Abaqus 6.13 from 2016 and it worked no problem
