Hello Star CCM+ user,
I have just stared using the star CCM+ and interested to find the humidity and temperature distribution in a house model.. can someone clear my following questions. Question regarding humidity calculations.. 1. Material used air, constant density(I am wondering where I can enter the properties for humidity) 2. which solver is required for calculating the humidity (passive solver? or any other) Question regarding the temperature distribution: 1. Which solver is required in order to calculate the temperature distribution in a building? Will appreciate any help! Sandy |

You want to use multi-component gas and have an air and a water vapor component. You probably don't want constant density if you intend on doing something in a room, especially where natural convection will dominate. You will most likely want the ideal gas equation of state.
I'm not sure what you mean by solver required for humidity and temperature, any of the solvers will do it. You just have to add the temperature model on to the physics. I would suggest you do a few tutorials before you hop in to doing your own work. |

This is the same problem that I have. I have used Ideal gas for it. It seems good from the first iteration. however, it won't converge and the humidity will increase up to maximum amount in everywhere. Please let me know your kind comment.
