Hi,
I am trying to do a propeller cfd simulation in star ccm+. I imported an existing IGS file of the propeller into star ccm+ When I boolean subtract the propeller from the rotating fluid domain and execute i get the error - 'Part Prop is not closed and Manifold' could you please suggest some solution? Best Regards, RItvik |

Well, it means your part is not closed, there are surface problems with it. Load the part into surface repair and see where the problems are.

To clarify, is the part non closed and therefore throwing an error before the Boolean operation completes? Or is it that the Boolean operation is creating a non manifold part?
Manual repair is a tool for fixing problems with your mesh, like non manifold edges. Seek out the tutorials if you want to use that tool to manually clean up your geometry. |
